Where the idea came from
Most football prediction games ask you to guess every score, every week. That's fun for a while, but it's a lot of homework. Invincible started with a simpler question: what if you only had to make one decision each gameweek — which club to back — and that decision really mattered?
Add one twist — each club can only be picked once at home and once away — and every choice becomes a trade-off between this week and the rest of the season.
Why "Invincible"?
In 2003–04 Arsenal went through a whole league season unbeaten, and the side became known as the Invincibles. It's one of the rarest achievements in English football. In this game, matching it means 38 picks without a single defeat. Most players never manage it — which is exactly why it's worth chasing.
Who's behind this
No office, no marketing team, no investors. Invincible is one person who wanted a football game he'd actually bother playing, built in the gaps around a day job and a family.
The first version was sketched on a phone between work and bedtime. Most of what came after was made late in the evening once the house had gone quiet — a rule changed here, a table redrawn there, and more than a few attempts that obviously weren't going to work. Nothing was signed off in a boardroom, and no feature exists just because a spreadsheet said it should.
That's also why feedback actually gets read. A small game only gets better if the people playing it say what's wrong with it — so if something annoys you, tell me.
